Fair Housing Expo East on April 26, 2017
Watermill, NY & Bohemia, NY—Long Island Housing Services Inc. and the Press News Group invite the public to their "Fair Housing Expo East" on April 26, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 7:30PM at the Parrish Art Museum, 279 Montauk Highway, in Water Mill, NY. The event will include a light dinner, great resources and a show. More information about the event can be found at LIFairHousing.org.

Fair Housing Expo East will provide an opportunity to learn about Long Island Housing Services’ free services and programs. Attendees will have an opportunity to speak directly with staff, and receive assistance and resource materials. Other nonprofit agencies providing local services including OLA (Organización Latino-Americana ) of Eastern Long Island, SEPA Mujer, the Southampton Housing Authority, Southampton Anti-Bias Task Force, and NAACP Eastern LI Branch will also be available to provide information and answer questions. Event endorsers also include the Parrish Art Museum, Fair Housing Justice Center, and Latino Justice.

Seminar sessions also will be held in the theater on important topics such as Tenants’ Rights, Foreclosure Prevention, Mortgage Scam Prevention, and Fair Housing Rights and Remedies. Simultaneous Spanish translation will be provided. An East End premiere showing of Norman Lear’s "A House Divided" featuring undercover Fair Housing investigations and discussion with documentary participant, Fair Housing Justice Center’ s nationally renowned Executive Director Fred Freiberg, will cap the evening.
